Kayko for House of Tara

We caught up with the wonderful Kayko after her recent shoot at Spring Studio’s, London’s most exclusive photographic and film studio, used by London’s major fashion houses and sister studio to NYC's original Spring Studios.  Kayko was chosen to feature in the beauty editorial shoot for Rough Magazines UK and Africa website entitled ‘Beauty Within’, and she told us all about the shoot in her own words:

 

“The shoot being held at Spring Studio’s showed the dedication to this beauty campaign that the folks at the House of TARA and Rough Magazine were giving to the models and back stage artists on the shoot. 

 

It was an all ethnic model shoot for House of TARA Cosmetics Company, which is based in Nigeria but is available to women of colour all around the world...and I was thrilled to be booked as one of the faces of the brand and then to be featured in Rough Magazine was an added bonus!

 

 

Style director and producer Tokyo James’s vision for this shoot was truly unique and brought all the attention to the different skin colours of three black models by making everything else pure white...including our hair, which was styled by hairstylist Sam Burnett and shot by uber fashion photographer Rio Romaine...this was truly exciting stuff! Thanks to my amazing booker at Source Models for making me a part of a Global Beauty Campaign for women of colour!”
